Lazaroo – Tuesday, December 21, 2010
Dec 21, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Filled with gratitude, pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.”
(Genesis 2:2)
From the bottom of my heart:
Thank You, Jesus.
Thank You for setting this wonderful example.
If You can rest
so can I.
You’re God.
You don’t get tired or weary.
I, on the other hand, do.
So as strong as You are –
if You can take a break
it must be all right for me to take one, too.
But just because I stop work
doesn’t mean I’m experiencing rest.
You are my rest.
My soul finds rest in You alone.
Your rest never fails.
You’re my shelter
my cave
my den
my getaway
my break from it all
my shade from the sun
my warmth in the dead of winter.
my peace, solitude and quiet
in this deafening world of noise.
