Lazaroo – Tuesday, February 16, 2010
Feb 16, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with fierce dedication:
“The angel of the LORD said to Elijah, ‘Go down with him; do not be afraid of him.’ So Elijah got up and went down with him to the king.”
(2 Kings 1:15)
That’s pretty amazing, Jesus.
An army captain with 50 men shows up to arrest Your prophet.
Instead of
fighting them
running away
calling down fire from heaven
Elijah goes with them
because Your angel told him it was safe
in plain Hebrew.
I’m no Elijah.
But I would love to know who’s safe
and who’s not.
Sometimes the ones who look dangerous
aren’t.
And sometimes the ones who look, act and sound safest
are the most dangerous of all.
I’d love for You to tell me which is which!
But whether by Your Word, the Holy Spirit, through a friend or an angel –
all I ask is that You tell me clearly
in plain English.
