Lazaroo – Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Jan 19, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Passionately pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:

“…the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished.”
(Nahum 1:3)

This doesn’t exactly encourage my heart, Jesus.

Well…part of it does.

It’s good to know evil people will have to pay for the terrible things they’ve done.

I’d hate to think that

countless thefts, rapes and murders will go unsolved

people with enough power or money to bribe or outwit police, judges and juries

will continue to laugh at their victims
and ridicule the helplessness of the law.

But what about people like me?

I’m guilty of more sins than I can count.

So if You don’t leave the guilty unpunished

why have You promised to forget my sins?
why have You removed them from me as far as the east is from the west?

Oh.

You did punish my guilt

when You took my sin on Yourself

and suffered the punishment that was due me

on the cross.
