Lazaroo – Tuesday, July 22, 2014
Jul 22, 2014 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in sensitive awareness:
“The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.”
(2 John 1:13)
This sounds like an innocuous enough statement, Jesus.
But it isn’t.
When one Christian greets another – even secondhand, through another –
You are intimately involved.
There’s a recognition that we both belong to You.
Even though we may know nothing whatsoever about the other Christian
there’s an instant bond:
You indwell us both!
We cannot – dare not – treat one another as we do everyone else.
No matter how brief
this greeting matters
between two people destined to spend eternity
together.
