Lazaroo – Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Jun 01, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Open your heart and pour out the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:

“Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk.”
(Habakkuk 1:8)

Sometimes that’s how it feels to me, Jesus

when my problems seem too great to handle.

I feel like throwing up my hands and

giving up
selling out
packing it in.

At such times, the idea of quitting is so tempting!

It seems like the far easier path
the solution that makes sense for everybody.

All I have to do is shrug my shoulders and say

“Whatever.”

So why don’t I?

Because I can’t

because of You.

I’m not here on my own.

I’m not in this place

with these people

by accident.

I’m not fighting this battle because I want to.

You placed me in the middle of this tempest

on purpose
for a reason.

So long as I obey, the odds stacked against me are irrelevant.

Because the battle is Yours

I will overcome.

Problems that are too great to handle…that’s how I feel. I really needed to hear this! I’m not fighting this battle because I want to…how true. But for our King, I will. He wants this battle. It means something to Him, therefore, I will fight on!
