Lazaroo – Tuesday, May 11, 2010

May 11, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pensive faith:

“There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow.”
(Ecclesiastes 1:11)

Well…history books do remind us of a few who once walked this earth, Jesus.

But Solomon wasn’t referring to the few.

He was referring to the many who have lived and died whose names were never recorded in history books.

Oh, sure.

Their families remember them

for a while.

But then comes the day when someone points to a faded photograph in a family album and asks, “Who’s that?”

and no one knows.

Well…there is One who knows.

You know each and every person who was ever conceived.

Intimately.

You never forget.

No one is ever “dead and gone.”

Each of them, created in Your image, lives on.

And each of us during our brief sojourn on this earth

gets to decide where.
