Lazaroo – Tuesday, May 28, 2013
May 28, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Open your heart and pour out the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness…”
(Colossians 1:13)
I’m free, Jesus –
free!
You’ve busted me out of my prison
removed the shackles from my hands, feet…
mind.
Greater are You in me
than the enemy of my soul
who’s in the world.
No more –
“The devil made me do it.”
Never again do I have to face something I know good and well I should do and mutter:
“I just can’t.”
In Your strength I can do everything –
absolutely everything! –
I’m called to do.
So since You’ve done all that for me, Father –
why am I still fighting the same old battles
caving in to the same stinking temptations
making the same stupid mistakes
sinning the same ugly sins?
My problem is not that You haven’t rescued me from the dominion of darkness, is it?
It’s that I don’t want out
badly enough.
