Open your heart and pour out the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:

“I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.”
(1 Timothy 1:13)

How many times have I heard this, Jesus:

“Ignorance of the law is no excuse.”

I get that.

If everyone who’s caught with his hand in the cookie jar says –

“Oh – stealing is wrong? I’m so sorry – I didn’t know that!”

the law becomes a joke.

We’d keep feigning ignorance our whole lives long.

It’s my responsibility to learn Your laws.

If I break Your law, I’m without excuse.

All I have to do is look up at the sky
look down at the ground under my feet
look at a newborn baby.

You reveal Yourself and Your ways throughout Your creation.

But as if that wasn’t enough, You’ve given me the Bible –

absolutely everything I need to know is already spelled out.

And still You show mercy when I sin

to a repeat offender like me?!!!
