Lazaroo – Tuesday, September 27, 2011
Sep 27, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unshakable dedication:
“Hannah did not go.”
(1 Samuel 1:22)
Normally, Hannah would have gone with her husband, Jesus.
But this time she didn’t.
It wasn’t for all the usual reasons:
she wasn’t mad at him
she wasn’t afraid of the trip
she didn’t disagree with what would happen there.
There was one reason and one reason only:
It wasn’t time.
I’ve got to learn this one, Father!
I’ve lost track of the number of times I had absolutely everything right –
except the timing.
In baseball, that’s the difference between a strikeout…
and a homerun.
It’s the same thing in my life, isn’t it?
Not just part of my life –
all of it.
I’ve got to know
when to speak
when to keep silent
when to act
when to hold off just a little longer
The problem is…
I’m not that good.
But You are, Holy Spirit!
Lead me.
