Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with bottomless trust:

“May the LORD show kindness to you, as you have shown…to me.”
(Ruth 1:8)

Am I sowing that seed, Jesus? –

being as kind to others as I want them to be to me?

When it comes to some of the people in my life, the answer is yes.

But when it comes to others?

I’m not so sure.

It’s pretty hard to be kind to some of the people in my life.

They’ve hurt me
disappointed me
let me down.

So I feel justified in – how can I put this? –

…being a little “less kind” to them…

…than they might want me to be.

But the truth is

I’ve hurt You
disappointed You
let You down

And You’ve never stopped showering me with kindness.

Help me, Jesus!

I want to grow into the kind of person who treats others better than they deserve

just like You do me.
