Lazaroo – Wednesday, April 24, 2013
Apr 24, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with earnest desire:
“Even the wild animals pant for you…”
(Joel 1:20)
It’s not news when wild animals pant, Jesus.
But Joel went farther
made a startling declaration:
Wild animals pant
for You.
So do I, LORD!
So do I.
Everything in my being cries out for You.
When I lose focus
allow myself to become distant
I pant
become dry
parched.
Nothing but forsaking my sin
returning with all my heart to You
can quench my thirst.
Wild animals don’t have to be taught to pant for You.
They just do.
By instinct they sense there’s something more to yearn for
something beyond water.
Do they have any inkling there’s such a thing as “living water?”
Somehow, they’re aware they’ve been created
possess an innate yearning for their Creator.
Unlike animals, we humans have been created in Your image.
But it appears we have much to learn
from wild animals.
