Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in utter amazement:

“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

You’ve given me this as my “right,” Jesus?

– to become Your child?

Please help me understand what You mean by this.

I’m Your child – not because I grew up in a “Christian” family

or in a family who did not know You.

I’m Your child – not because of any human decision –

not my friends’ decision
not my pastors’ decision
not my parents’ decision
not my leaders’ decision
not my teachers’ decision

apart from You, not even my decision.

I’m Your child – not because my father or anyone else wanted it.

I’m Your child because You Personally

called me and enabled me

and I said, “Yes.”
