Lazaroo – Wednesday, August 25, 2010
Aug 25, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unbudging, bulldog faith:
“Even if I thought there was still hope for me – ”
(Ruth 1:12)
Oh, Jesus.
May these words of this Godly but discouraged old woman
never find themselves on my lips.
May I never look at my circumstances
and gauge what I can or cannot do.
May I never look in my mirror
take stock of the deeply flawed thing looking back at me
shake my head in defeat
and give up.
So long as I have You
my impossible circumstances
are nothing more than a delicious setup
for the shocking display of Your majesty, mercy and might!
So long as I have You
my sinful past
my long list of mistakes
my numerous and glaring inadequacies
will simply insure that all the glory for all the victories You are about to give me
go to You.
So long as I have You
I have hope.
