Lazaroo – Wednesday, August 6, 2014
Aug 06, 2014 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“That day will be a day of wrath…”
(Zephaniah 1:15)
I’ve seen some days that looked like this, Jesus
and lived a few.
They’re no fun.
Of course, they’re not meant to be.
When You set aside a day for wrath, the earth trembles
knees buckle
people cry, mourn, wail.
But what I’m learning about You is this:
You never bring pain
without purpose.
You never hurt
without intent to heal.
You’re a surgeon
not a marauder.
When You wield Your knife
You use it to repair something that isn’t right.
May Your days of wrath be few
but when need be
make them count.
