Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in trembling awareness:

“I call God as my witness…”

I’d better think twice before using that defense, Jesus!

The person who calls You as their witness

is either certain of their position
or a total fool.

Because when You take the witness stand

You don’t take sides.
You don’t play favorites.

You tell the truth
the whole truth
and nothing but the truth.

So the truth is what I had better be telling when I call You as my witness.

Because whether or not I call You to back me up
that’s who You are:

my Witness.
