Lazaroo – Wednesday, February 13, 2013
Feb 13, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with eye-opening faith:
“In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.”
(Jude 1:8)
That last caution isn’t one I think about just a whole lot, Jesus.
Perhaps I should.
First of all, Your warning is a reminder that celestial beings are real.
They’re not a figment of my imagination
not a leftover element of some ancient superstition.
Clearly, some of them – such as angels –
are awesome, powerful and good.
Others – such as demons –
are equally awesome, powerful…and bad.
I can see why I’d be tempted to slander the invisible forces of evil that have cost me so dearly in my life!
But You say, “No.”
As counterintuitive as it feels…
You’re teaching me that even the most disobedient of Your creation
should be treated with respect
because of the One who is their Creator.
