What a miracle, Jesus!

The truth of Your gospel –

Your virgin birth and sinless life
Your death, burial and resurrection

payment in full for my countless sins
and the sins of all who believe

Your return for Your followers
Your reign throughout eternity

the place in heaven You’ve prepared for me
and for all who trust in You

passed along from the first eyewitnesses

who knew and touched You
who ate with You and heard You teach
whose jaws dropped when they saw Your miracles

on down through person after person after person

until somebody told me.

Why me, LORD?

Why did You see to it that I would receive this overwhelmingly good news
while countless millions have never heard Your Name
even once?

The responsibility overwhelms me.

I’ve got to go tell somebody.
