Lazaroo – Wednesday, January 19, 2011
Jan 19, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sober resolve:
“Even though I was once a blasphemer…I was shown mercy.”
(1 Timothy 1:13)
This is serious, Jesus.
Every time I’m aware that what I’m about to do is wrong
and do it anyway
I’m a blasphemer.
Moses made it clear:
The penalty for defiant sin is to be cut off from Your people.
When I sin in that way it’s not only myself and others I harm
I’m sinning against You.
I’d really like to weasel out of this one
offer You some good excuse for why I’d do such a despicable thing
but I can’t.
Guilty as charged.
More times than I can count.
Paul turned people like me over to Satan for a season
to be taught not to blaspheme.
That may explain a few things I’ve had to endure.
Please help me learn my lesson!
and in Your mercy
as You did for Paul
restore me.
