Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in unashamed desperation:

“So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.”
(Genesis 2:20)

All those creatures, Jesus…
all that authority, power and intelligence to name them…

but no suitable helper

anywhere.

If I have eyes to see it, I’m in one of those seasons, now:

an aching need deep within me
an assignment You’ve placed in my hands
a responsibility I’m trying to shoulder
a dream I long to see realized
a destiny that cries out to be fulfilled.

I’ve tried to do it by myself

but I can’t.

It seems to be one of those things that requires more than just You and me.

So I’m stuck.

I can find no suitable helper

anywhere

…unless You do for me what You did for Adam

and create one.
