Lazaroo – Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Jul 22, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:

“…his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David…”
(Romans 1:3)

The Bible makes it absolutely clear, Jesus:

You are God.

To call You anything less is to be an unbeliever…or under the influence of a cult.

But Your Word also makes it clear that You walked this earth as a mortal.

A man.

Not half-God, half man.

Fully God.

Fully man.

As God You

healed the sick
raised the dead
read our thoughts
opened blind eyes
unstopped deaf ears
calmed a raging storm with three powerful words.

But as man You

wept
prayed
felt hunger
grew thirsty
became tired

and when that soldier thrust his spear into your side…

You bled.

Thank You for humbling Yourself all the way down to my level, Jesus!

Because that means when I pour out my broken heart to You…

You understand.

Dear Jesus, The “awesomeness ” of knowing You understand and how much You love me when I pour out my broken heart to You brings tears to my eyes — what a gift! What a blessing! Beth Moore says sometimes a person has to be wounded to get a blessing. It is a blessing to know I can hang on to You and you understand when I am wounded. Thank You.
