Lazaroo – Wednesday, June 17, 2009
Jun 17, 2009 I Lazaroo.Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in total adoration:
“Your name is like perfume poured out.”
(Song of Songs 1:3)
Dear God!
If a woman in the Bible can talk like this to her husband…
If poets from then till now have penned such words to their lovers…
I will attempt to put aside my self-conscious shyness
and speak these words to You.
Of all the names ever given, none rivals Yours.
Your Name is miraculous, high and holy.
Your Name is Life.
Your Name declares that You are my
Wonderful Counselor
Mighty God
Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace
Yours is the Name above every name.
One day – at the mere mention of Your Name – every knee will bow.
But I don’t want to wait.
I choose to bow now –
before Your Name poured out that is more fragrant than humankind’s costliest, most intoxicating perfume:
Jesus.
