Lazaroo – Wednesday, June 6, 2012
Jun 06, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:
“’Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the LORD, ‘and work.’”
(Haggai 2:4)
Bummer, Jesus.
I have to work.
I was hoping I could tell You what I wanted You to do for me
sit back
and wait for You to do it.
After all, even people who don’t believe in You get results
when they work.
I’ve heard it said, “The harder I work, the luckier I get.”
How is this any different?
Should I conclude –
“The harder I work
the more of my prayers get answered?”
Okay. I’m through whining.
If I complain any more, You might get the wrong idea
and think I’m lazy. 😉
Obviously, faith isn’t supposed to turn me into a couch potato.
As I work…
You work with me
through me
in me.
But then there are times when all my work isn’t enough.
That’s when it’s –
only You.
