A promise to marry.

Millennia ago, You betrothed Your people to You, Jesus.

You kept Your promise.
They didn’t keep theirs.

But Your promise still stands –

for everyone who trusts You with everything –

life
liberty
health
choices
hopes
circumstances

eternity.

You’ve fulfilled Your promise for me, LORD!
I belong to You.

You betrothed me in righteousness and justice –

not in my righteousness
Yours.

Not in any justice I deserve

but through Your death on the cross

in my place.
