Lazaroo – Wednesday, September 7, 2011
Sep 07, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Let the light dawn, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“On the day of the LORD’S sacrifice I will punish…all those clad in foreign clothes.”
(Zephaniah 1:8)
At first glance this sounds so unlike You, Jesus.
No one is a foreigner to You!
You made every single one of us
with Your own hands.
Red and yellow, black and white
we are precious in Your sight!
all of us designed by You –
works of art.
So what’s this “foreign clothes” business?
Oh.
It’s not our skin, is it?
It has nothing to do with the
continent
state
city
village
in which we live.
It’s the clothes.
When I choose You as my Savior
when I long to look like You
when I claim You as my Father
when I ask You to come live in me, Holy Spirit
I’m taking off all that old, foreign clothing
removing the filthy, tattered shrouds of darkness
and donning Your armor of Light.
