I am glad, Jesus!

…because I take refuge in You.

I’ve learned the hard way:

There is no other refuge than You.

To my shame, I’ve tried the alternatives:

relationships, work, entertainment, causes
exercise, food, drink, other pleasures

to no avail.

All of them promise much
deliver little.

The longer I attempt to hide out in them

the more naked I become.

Only You.
