What makes a lady “dear,” Jesus?

She may be a ravishing beauty…
but that by itself wouldn’t do it.

She might be intellectually brilliant –
impressive to be sure –
but not necessarily “dear.”

She could be an enormously talented
athlete, speaker, writer, architect, actor, CEO, chef –
accomplished, yes – but “dear?” –
maybe not.

It’s the way she loves, isn’t it?

with all her heart –
generously, selflessly, consistently –

day after day
month after month
year after year.
