“They provoked the LORD to anger because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.”

No wonder You were angry, Father!

These were gods of their own creation
gods You had warned them against

gods who had never done anything for them
because as the product of their imaginations

they couldn’t.

The things I create contain the same danger, LORD.

May I keep You first, always, Jesus!
