What a wonderful thing, Jesus!

During some seasons of life

finding people who faithfully perform their duties
feels like a miracle.

So many of us write checks with our mouths

that we can’t quite cash.

Sometimes it’s not that we can’t.

It’s that we won’t.

Have I ever done that, LORD?

I’m sure I have…although my ego doesn’t want to go there.

If so, I’m sure I had my reasons

as does everyone else who drops the ball

on me.
