Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with every fiber of your being: 

“My covenant was with him…”
(Malachi 2:5)

And You have a covenant with me, don’t You, Jesus?

You’ve promised to be amazingly good to me
if only I will give myself totally, utterly, completely to You.

Should I honor our covenant?

Well…let me take a closer look.

Here’s what You get:

Me – needy, desperate, helpless –
in all my flawed, error-ridden, sin-scarred glory.

Here’s what I get:

You – All-powerful, All-knowing, Creator of everything
in all Your Pure Love, Shining, Majestic glory

Something tells me if I do my part

I’m going to come out on the better end of this deal.
