Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with eyes that see beyond: 

“…for the house she lived in was part of the city wall.”
(Joshua 2:15)

So’s mine, Jesus.

Oh, not in the same way this woman’s house was.

But spiritually…

the place where I live is part of my city’s wall.

If I’m living for You –
doing my best to put You first in everything I think, say and do –

I bring spiritual protection to my

home
neighborhood
city.

But if I live wickedly

thinking only of myself
selling my soul to indulge in temporary pleasure

I tear down this section of my city’s wall –

inviting evil to enter
and have full reign.
