Cry out to God, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo: 

“And the water has remained wholesome to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken.”
(2 Kings 2:22)

What an impressive thing You did, Jesus!

Jericho was well situated, but the water was bad.
Consequently, the land was unproductive.

When the men of the city approached your prophet Elisha
You worked a miracle through him, purifying their stream.

All that happened more than 2,800 years ago –

and the people of Jericho
are selling delicious bottled drinking water from that stream

to this very day.

Purify me, Jesus!

…as completely and permanently as You purified that stream.
