Lazaroo – Sunday, June 29, 2014
No comments, Jun 29, 2014
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in grateful amazement:
“Jehozadak was deported when the LORD sent Judah and Jerusalem into exile by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.”
(1 Chronicles 6:15)
There are huge implications in this brief sentence, Jesus…
if only I have eyes to see it:
As a last resort, You will punish Your own people –
including the high priest Jehozadak –
and You are willing to use a nonbeliever to do it.
But as I keep reading, there’s hope:
You restored Jehozadak’s son Joshua to his homeland
crowned him high priest to succeed his father
and through him rebuilt Your temple.
Even when it looks like it’s all over
in You…
it never is.
