Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud…by faith:

“This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.”
(1 John 2:5-6)

Forgive me, Jesus…but that’s no reassurance at all.

By that standard, I fail.

You walked perfectly.

Even on my best days
my walk is pretty sloppy.

But maybe this isn’t about my having to match Your sinless perfection.

By that standard, everyone fails.

Maybe this is about following Your example with all my heart

falling and getting up again
falling and getting up again
falling and getting up again
