Lazaroo – Tuesday, May 13, 2014
1 comment, May 13, 2014
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:
“We did not follow cleverly invented stories…”
(2 Peter 1:16)
Good reminder, Jesus.
Those cleverly invented stories are out there.
It’s one thing to read a novel, a thriller, a fairy tale by a gifted writer.
That’s entertainment.
It’s quite another to believe a clever story invented by a gifted liar.
That’s death.
Sometimes it’s the worst possible death – eternal death –
when anyone but You
is proclaimed as Savior.
But even when the stakes are lower, it’s still death –
death of trust
death of dreams
death of relationships.
O God!
Open my eyes!
and shut my ears to cleverly invented stories.
