Lazaroo – Saturday, May 10, 2014
No comments, May 10, 2014
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with laser-focused intensity:
“I refused my heart no pleasure.”
(Ecclesiastes 2:10)
Now there’s a prescription, Jesus
for disaster.
Unlike Solomon, I can’t say I’ve refused my heart no pleasure
but I sure have allowed myself a few pleasures
that have come back to haunt me.
What happened to him, LORD?
How did such a wise man
end up so stupid?
He allowed the wisdom You gave him to go to his head, didn’t he?
O God!
What a lesson.
When I see even the slightest evidence of some gift You’ve given me
may I never forget
where it came from.
