Lazaroo – Sunday, May 4, 2014
No comments, May 04, 2014
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed devotion:
“Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights.”
(Job 2:13)
Those were some true friends, Jesus –
at least to this point.
Intelligent, busy men –
for them to drop everything for one solid week
to mourn with Job in his incredible misery
is stunning.
Of course, before long, their comfort turned into blame.
Instead of carrying Job’s burden
they added to it.
I have friends like that, LORD.
Sometimes I’m a friend like that.
We’re mixed bags – all of us.
Thank You for my true (flawed)
friends.
