Lazaroo – Sunday, April 27, 2014
No comments, Apr 27, 2014
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in startled recognition:
“…he sets himself up…”
(2 Thessalonians 2:4)
Who among us has not done this, Jesus?
I’m as guilty as the rest.
I want people to think well of me.
When I say I don’t care what people think
I’m only lying to myself
and might even be hoping they will see my lack of pride
and think well of me.
There’s no getting around it, is there?
No wonder I get so angry at those who set themselves up!
It’s such a struggle to see around this plank in my own eye
while I try to extract that irritating splinter from theirs.
