Your birth in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago wasn’t the first, Jesus.

Many were born before that…
but none like You:

God become man.

That’s a first.

You didn’t do that to show off.

You did it to show me the way.

As man, You suffered through every ugly hurt I experience:

hunger
pain
loneliness
lies
hatred
temptation
betrayal

But as God, not one of those Satanic attacks knocked You off course.

I too can stand
come what may

because You live in me.
