Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:

“They covet…houses, and take them.”
(Micah 2:2)

What a grievous sin, Jesus –

to see the place someone else has built, loved, cared for

to covet it
scheme to take it away from them
come up with a plan to do it

to steal a person’s

home place
refuge
shelter from the storm

the house where they reared their children
ate their meals
rested at night

and throw them out on the street.

It’s easy to covet something nice that belongs to someone else

but may I never give in to that temptation
and suffer Your inevitable wrath.
