When I survey the desert landscape of this world
You’re The Rock who stands high above it all.

When I need a place to rest
You’re my Rock.

When I need one thing – just one thing! – to count on
You’re my Rock.

When I need a place to hide from the enemies who pursue me
You’re my Rock of refuge.

When I need to rise above my circumstances
grab some desperately needed perspective
You’re the Rock that is higher than I.

You’re my Rock!
