Seek discernment, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“I have something to say to you.”
(1 Kings 2:14)

There are a lot of people who have something to say to me, Jesus

but not everything they want to say
is worth hearing

not every piece of advice they give
is safe to follow

not every question they ask
is posed with sincere intent.

This man who had something to say to Bathsheba

was setting a trap for her and her son Solomon.

Thankfully, though she was fooled, Solomon was not.

Next time I’m fooled, LORD…
bring me a Solomon.
