Lazaroo – Saturday, July 13, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with emboldened faith:

“That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.”
(Mark 1:32)

You heal one woman who has a fever, Jesus…

and that night everybody in town shows up at Your door.

not with hangnails
not with itty-bitty problems

but bringing You big stuff –
people who were really sick

real demons
tormenting desperate people.

They figured if You could heal anything

You could heal everything.

They were right, weren’t they?

Headache or cancer
summer cold…or dead four days

it’s all the same to You.

But I have to wonder…why did they wait till after sunset?

did it take them that long
to gather their courage?

were they hiding from their neighbors

avoiding ridicule
in case their hopes in You proved false?

Just for the record:

I don’t care whether it’s day or night –

when I’m in need
I’ll unashamedly call on You.
