Pray this Lazaroo in sober assessment: 

“Now let my Lord send his servants the wheat and barley and the olive oil and wine he promised…”
(2 Chronicles 2:15)

Well, here’s the thing about promises, Jesus…

people don’t always keep ‘em.

Nor do I.

I can’t answer for others, but I know why I’ve failed:

Sometimes I forgot.
Sometimes something out of my control arose.
Sometimes I promised something bigger than I could deliver.

And then there’s the worst reason of all:

I changed my mind.

No excuse for that one, LORD.

None.

Never again.
