Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul: 

“But things changed…”

Well, that’s for sure:

Things change.

No sooner do I start to figure out a few things

than something happens
that makes what I was doing obsolete.

No sooner do I think I’ve got a good relationship with someone

than one of us says or does something
that puts us at odds and breaks trust.

Why is it such a struggle for me to accept this, Jesus?

Is it because I don’t want to do the hard work
of fixing, growing, learning, changing with them?

Yes. Things change.
