When an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream
warning him King Herod intended to kill You

he got up.

He didn’t lie there, paralyzed.

He got a move on.

When I hear bad news

it’s so easy to freeze, throw up my hands
pull the covers over my head and give up.

But even though I feel like it

that’s the worst time to quit, isn’t it?

Make me like Joseph, LORD.

When those hits keep coming

Fill me full of Yourself
and help me get up.
