Allow gratitude to well up, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo: 

“And the things you have heard me say…”
(2 Timothy 2:2)

I’ve said some things I’m glad others have heard, Jesus…

and some things I wish they hadn’t.

I’m just thankful no one has heard everything I’ve said.

In private moments of

anger
thoughtlessness
fear
weakness
despair
impropriety
exuberance

my thoughts have run amok 
my lips have betrayed me
my sinful human nature has shamed me.

Disgusted with myself

I’ve had to repent

because even though no one was around to hear me at my worst

You were.

And are.
