Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with undiluted sincerity: 

“…holding onto faith and a good conscience.”
(1 Timothy 1:19)

The one has a lot to do with the other, doesn’t it, Jesus?

It’s easy to have faith in what You can do

but when I’ve got a guilty conscience
I can’t exactly expect You to do it for me.

My safest course is to beg You to help me live a squeaky clean life, isn’t it?

Then I can present my requests to You with absolute confidence

knowing that if it’s what’s best

You’ll do it.
