Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:

 “You should not…look down on [my people] in the day of their disaster…”
(Obadiah 1:13)

Down deep in my spirit, I know that’s right.
But it’s tempting to, Jesus.

When I see someone who gets slammed
I sometimes wonder what they did to deserve it.

In my pride and arrogance
I might even think I know exactly why it’s happening.

Only in heaven will I discover
how many times I’ve been utterly wrong.

But even when I guess right
even when they have Your punishment coming to them

You tell me not to gloat.
Or You’ll stop.
