Take a lesson, as you pray aloud to God the words of this Lazaroo:

“So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria…who took the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh into exile.”
(1 Chronicles 5:26)

What an insight into who You are, Jesus.

In spite of repeated warnings, Your people were unfaithful to You.

Finally, they left You with no choice:
You sent an evil king to punish them.

May I never be that stupid, Father!

The last thing I want
is for you to turn some evil person loose on me.

I’m not sure…

but I suspect that may have happened to me
a time or two already.
