Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with excuseless humility:

“The LORD will hear when I call to him.”
(Psalms 4:3)

This is the confidence I have in approaching You, Jesus:

If I ask You for anything in accordance with Your will

You hear me.

And here’s the thing:

Since I know that You hear me – whatever I ask –
I know You’ll give me what I’ve asked for…

in Your way
in Your time.

Of course, some of the things I think I want are not Your will for me.

Those are the times You tell me, “No” –
because they’re not best for me.

Sounds like the secret to answered prayer

is starting with Your will
rather than mine.
